Wolf, "that saw the geopolitical walls come down between formerly conflicting cultures, economies and ideologies". Frank Reynolds anchors the program from 10 of the network's news bureaus abroad.

[NBC 8:00] King Orange Jamboree Parade [special] Anita Bryant and Joe Garagiola cohost the 37th annual parade along Biscayne Boulevard in Miami, Fla. The theme of the parade that precedes the Orange Bowl game on New Year's Day is "Land of Dreams". Theme-decorated floats, bands from various sections of the country, and specialty groups perform along the three-mile route.

In the first episode, Bob's "fear of flying" workshop gets a new member when Emily accepts his invitation to travel with the group by plane to New York and has to admit that she, too, is a "white knuckle" flyer.
