[CBS 8:30] Republican National Convention Nominations for president are the main order of business. Rep. Gerald Ford (R-Mich.) calls the proceedings to order. Mrs. Mary Ann Maier, Democratic wife of the Milwaukee mayor, will second the nomination of President Nixon. Before the nominations get underway, a 14 minute documentary film on Nixon, entitled "Nixon the Man", will be introduced by actor John Wayne.
