  • It was announced that South Vietnam Vice President Nguyen Cao Ky won't speak at the Washington, DC pro-war rally. From Paris, Ky said that President Nixon and others convinced him that his speech would not help the cause of South Vietnam.

    Rally organizer Carl McIntire flew to Paris to ask Ky to come anyway, and accused the Nixon administration of political blackmail and denying Ky freedom of speech. [CBS]

  • The Campus Unrest Commission report states that President Nixon must act to halt the crisis.
