[ABC 7:30] Undersea World Of Jacques Cousteau: The Return Of The Sea Elephants The male sea elephant, measuring up to 20 feet and weighing several tons, has an inflatible proboscis like the trunk of a small elephant. The species, centered on a volcanic island off the coast of Mexico's Baja Peninsula, once almost hunted to extinction, now faces another threat -- pollution. Capt. [NBC 7:30] The Whale Hunters Of Fayal [special] Jose Ferrer narrates a study of a vanishing way of life. Fayal is an isle in the Azores where primitive whale hunters have been hunting the sperm whale for 150 years but soon will have to find another line of work.
