The "man hunters" -- paleoanthropologists and related scientists -- are attempting to answer some of the questions surrounding the mystery of modern man. In addition to segments filmed at major archeological sites in Europe and Africa, animated and impressionistic film sequences dramatize what life may have been like when prehistoric man roamed the earth. E.G. Marshall narrates.
