Second-half touchdown passes by Vince Ferragamo and Bob Lee enabled Los Angeles to defeat San Francisco. Los Angeles wiped out a 17-13 halftime deficit when Ferragamo and Wendell Tyler combined on a 71-yard touchdown pass. The Rams extended their lead to 26-17 on their next possession when Lee hit Ron Smith with a 30-yard touchdown pass. The defensive play of the game came in the second quarter when the Rams' Sid Justin returned a blocked field goal 80 yards for a touchdown.
