Jim Zorn completed 18 of 23 passes (a club-record 78.3 percent) for 252 yards and three touchdowns as Seattle knocked Houston out of first place in the AFC Central. Zorn drove the Seahawks 80 yards on their first possession, which ended on a 12-yard touchdown pass to Sherman Smith. Steve Largent (135 yards on six receptions) scored on bombs of 45 and 55 yards and Cornell Webster added Seattle's first ever touchdown (54 yards) on a fumble recovery.
