Mike Williams' one-yard touchdown, which capped a 48-yard drive, and Jan Stenerud's 46-yard field goal gave the Chiefs a 10-0 halftime lead. Defensive end Ross Browner's fumble recovery set up a three-yard scoring run by quarterback Ken Anderson in the third period that pulled Cincinnati within three points.
