Earl Campbell ran for three touchdowns and J. C. Wilson added another on an interception return as the Oilers knocked the Browns from the unbeaten ranks. Houston built a 24-10 halftime lead on a pair of Campbell two-yard runs and Wilson's 34-yard interception. Campbell added a one-yard scoring plunge in the third quarter. The Oilers' defense sacked Brian Sipe five times as Houston gained a share of the AFC Central lead with Pittsburgh and Cleveland.
