NFL game summary for 10/16/1977:



Steve Myer threw a team-record four touchdown passes that propelled the Seahawks to their first win of the season and second over Tampa Bay since the two teams joined the league in 1976. Myer hit Steve Largent with touchdown passes of four and eight yards in the first half and threw 45 yards to Duke Fergerson and 44 yards to Sherman Smith in the final period. Tampa Bay, which extended its losing streak to 19 games, narrowed the Seahawks' margin to 24-23 when Gary Huff hit Morris Owens with a 67-yard scoring pass with 10:17 to play. The Buccaneers had two scoring threats wiped out in the final four minutes on interceptions by Autry Beamon and Eddie McMillan.
