The streaking Colts won their fifth straight, beating the Dolphins for the first time in Miami to move into a second-place tie, one game behind the AFC East leader. Don McCauley plunged for three one-yard touchdowns as Marty Domres replaced injured Bert Jones and drove the Colts to victory. Bob Griese suffered a right big toe injury that required surgery, and Earl Morrall took over. Lydell Mitchell gained 106 yards, a club record eighth 100-yard game of his career, and scored the clinching touchdown on a 32-yard run.
