Cowboys' linebacker Dave Edwards recovered a fumble at the Philadelphia 37 to set up the third of Calvin Hill's three touchdowns which tied the game at 24-24. Later Roger Staubach scored the decisive touchdown from the 1 with 9:44 remaining as Dallas ended a four-game losing streak and snapped the Eagles' four-game winning string. Hill's touchdowns were on runs of 5, 17 and 2 yards as he rushed for 140 yards on 26 carries. In the match-up of the NFC's leading pass receivers, the Cowboys' Drew Pearson caught 5 for 75 yards and Harold Carmichael had 5 for 85 yards and one TD for the Eagles as the two men remained 1 and 2 respectively.
