San Francisco scored three times within a six-minute span in the second period. Brodie finished the season with 24 TD passes, and was trapped only eight times, a NFL record low. The vcictory by the 49ers gave NFC teams a 27-12-1 record over the AFC in the first series of regular season interconference games.
