. . . where the 1970s live forever!
Blasting off with a four-run first inning, the Rangers went on to an 8-2 triumph over the Royals as Charlie Hough recorded his fifth complete game of the season. Texas scored in the first on a two-run single by Johnny Grubb, RBI single by Jim Sundberg and run-scoring groundout by Lamar Johnson. Grubb drilled a solo homer in the fifth and Johnson cracked a two-run round-tripper in the eighth. [The Sporting News]
