George Wright's three-run homer climaxed a four-run eighth inning that lifted the Rangers to a 9-6 victory over the Brewers, who lost their fifth straight. The game was knotted, 5-5, when Mike Richardt walked to begin the eighth. Pete Vuckovich was lifted for Doug Jones, who retired Leon Roberts on a bunt pop-up, but Mark Wagner singled Richardt to third and Doug Flynn, celebrating his 31st birthday, followed with an RBI single.
