Bobby Bonds belted his sixth home run of the season with two out in the eighth inning to propel the Cubs to a 10-9 triumph over the Mets. Eight of the Cubs' 10 runs came on homers as Leon Durham, Ty Waller and Jody Davis also connected. Ellis Valentine hit two homers and drove in five runs for the Mets. [The Sporting News]
