Neil Allen notched his 15th save of the season as the Mets defeated the Braves, 4-2. The Mets scored twice in the first inning on a triple by Lee Mazzilli, double by Hubie Brooks on a fly to left that was lost in the sun by Eddie Miller and a bloop double by Ellis Valentine.
