A two-out, two-run homer by Bobby Murcer in the ninth inning rallied the Yankees to a 2-1 victory over the A's. Reggie Jackson started the winning action with a one-out single and was replaced by pinch-runner Paul Blair. One out later, Murcer drilled a 1-2 pitch over the right field fence.
