Homers by Willie Horton and Leon Roberts triggered the Mariners to a 5-2 triumph over the Rangers. Horton led off the fifth inning with a round-tripper and one out later, Roberts connected to give the Mariners a 2-0 lead. They scored two runs in the seventh on a pair of errors by Ranger shortstop Nelson Norman and registered their final tally in the eighth on an RBI single by Ruppert Jones. [The Sporting News]
