Staked to a big lead when the Padres scored seven runs in the first two innings, Eric Rasmussen breezed to an 8-0 victory over the Braves. The Padres jumped off with four runs in the first on a single by Gene Richards, a stolen base, double by Paul Dade, single by Dave Winfield and homer by Gene Tenace.
