. . . where the 1970s live forever!
Ellis Valentine and Andre Dawson each smashed a bases-loaded triple to power the Expos to a 7-2 victory over the Reds and snap Tom Seaver's 11-game winning streak. In the first inning, Warren Cromartie singled. With two out, Rusty Staub also singled. Seaver uncorked a wild pitch, allowing both runners to advance, and then passed Gary Carter to load the bases before Valentine came to the plate and hit his triple.

Seaver was kayoed in the second. Jim Mason singled and was forced by David Palmer. Singles by Cromartie and Dave Cash loaded the bases and Dawson cleared the sacks with his three-bagger. Staub added a run with a sacrifice fly. [The Sporting News]
