A five-run outburst in the sixth inning propelled the Rangers to a 10-2 rout of the Yankees. A single by Willie Montanez snapped a 2-2 tie in the sixth. Jim Sundberg also singled home a run and Mickey Rivers capped the uprising with a two-run triple. Al Oliver, who tied the score with a solo homer in the fourth, opened the seventh with a double and after a walk to Buddy Bell, Montanez unloaded his first homer as a Ranger. [The Sporting News]
