Rusty Staub drove in three runs with a homer and double to pace the Tigers to a 9-2 victory over the A's. Staub smacked his homer in the second inning and stroked a two-run double in the sixth. The Tigers scored five times in the fifth inning as the A's contributed three errors. Jerry Morales began the frame with a homer.
