Exploding for 11 runs in the fourth inning, the Expos went on to drub the Braves, 12-2. The Expos sent 15 batters to the plate and scored their first eight runs with none out. Ellis Valentine drove in the first run with a single and later in the inning singled home two more markers. Warren Cromartie also drove in two runs with a single.
