Breaking a personal two-game losing streak, Ron Guidry allowed only two hits and posted his first shutout of the season, pitching the Yankees to a 4-0 victory over the White Sox. The Yankees scored their initial run in the fourth inning on a triple by Mickey Rivers and an infield out by Willie Randolph.
