A bases-loaded single by Ray Knight in the 13th inning drove in two runs and gave the Reds a 3-2 triumph over the Dodgers. Ken Griffey opened the 13th with a walk and Dave Concepcion singled. After two batters were retired, Dan Driessen walked to load the bases and Knight followed with his single to center.

The Dodgers bounced back in the bottom of the frame with one run on a double by Gary Thomasson and a single by Davey Lopes. The Reds took a 1-0 lead in the 10th inning on a solo homer by Driessen, but the Dodgers tied it in their half on a solo blast by Reggie Smith. [The Sporting News]
