Dale Murphy drove in all three of the Braves' runs in a 3-2 victory over the Dodgers. Murphy's first RBI came in the first inning with a single that followed a double by Jerry Royster. After the Dodgers took a 2-1 lead, the Braves rallied in the eighth.

With one out, pinch-hitter Mike Lum singled. One out later, Gary Matthews and Jeff Burroughs walked to load the sacks and bring on Bob Welch in relief of starter Andy Messersmith. Murphy greeted Welch with a single that drove home Lum and Matthews. [The Sporting News]
