Dealing ace reliever Mike Marshall his second loss in as many nights, the Rangers staged a five-run rally in the eighth inning to prevail over the Twins, 9-8. Marshall was called in after Mike Bacsik gave up two runs on a single by Johnny Grubb, double by Richie Zisk and single by Pat Putnam. After a walk to Mike Jorgensen, Jim Sundberg doubled to score one run and John Ellis followed with a single that drove home two more tallies. [The Sporting News]
