A single by Don Baylor drove home the winning run in the bottom of the ninth to give the Angels a 2-1 triumph over the Yankees, sending the Bronx Bombers to their fifth straight defeat. Rick Miller began the winning rally with a one-out single and advanced to third on a single by Dan Ford. A walk to Rod Carew loaded the bases and Baylor then stroked a single to plate Miller with the winning marker. [The Sporting News]
