Homers by John Milner and Dave Parker highlighted a 17-hit attack that carried the Pirates to a 9-2 rout of the Reds. The Bucs got a pair of runs in the first inning on a single by Omar Moreno, triple by Parker and single by Willie Stargell.

Four runs followed in the fourth on singles by Ed Ott, Rennie Stennett, Bill Robinson and Tim Foli and a triple by Moreno. Milner homered with one on in the fifth and Parker added a solo blast in the ninth. [The Sporting News]
