A two-run, pinch-hit homer by Reggie Jackson and solo swat by Graig Nettles in the eighth inning lifted the Yankees to a 7-6 triumph over the Orioles. The Bronx Bombers trailed, 4-3, entering the eighth when Jackson unloaded following a pinch-hit single by Jay Johnstone. Nettles connected later in the same frame.
