Rick Burleson, attempting to bunt, popped out to Ryan, who threw to first base in an effort to get a double play. The ball got away from Bobby Grich and rolled into the Red Sox dugout, allowing Scott to score. Hobson went to third on the error. A squeeze bunt by Jerry Remy then scored Hobson.
