After the Brewers pounded the Blue Jays, 9-1, in the first game of a scheduled doubleheader, the second game was postponed because of rain. The Brewers scored six runs in the fourth inning. Larry Hisle opened with a walk, Cecil Cooper singled and a double by Sal Bando plated Hisle. A single by Robin Yount scored Cooper and Bando also tallied when right fielder Bob Bailor bobbled Yount's hit.

Gorman Thomas greeted reliever Joe Coleman with a single and catcher Rick Cerone's throwing error on a sacrifice bunt by Charlie Moore allowed Yount to score. Thomas tallied on a wild pitch before a single by Don Money capped the uprising. [The Sporting News]
