The Texans grabbed a 2-0 lead in the fifth inning of the opener on a safe bunt by Kurt Bevacqua, triple by Toby Harrah and sacrifice fly by Mike Hargrove. Bevacqua led off the seventh with a round-tripper to provide the eventual winning run.
