. . . where the 1970s live forever!

A three-run homer by Lamar Johnson propelled the White Sox to a 5-3 victory over the Royals. The Sox trailed, 3-2, going into the top of the seventh when Don Kessinger opened with a single. Bob Molinaro, attempting to sacrifice, forced Kessinger at second. But Thad Bosley followed with a single and starter DennisLeonard was replaced by Al Hrabosky. The reliever got the second out of the inning but Johnson tagged his first offering for a round-tripper. [The Sporting News]
