. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Completing a three-game tomahawking of the Royals, the Indians posted a 5-2 victory. The Tribe trailed, 2-1, going into the bottom of sixth, when Johnny Grubb hit a homer to tie the score. Gary Alexander then walked, took second on a sacrifice by Bernie Carbo and scored on a double by Tom Veryzer. Duane Kuiper was given an intentional walk and Horace Speed drew a walk to load the bases. Ted Cox laid down a bunt and Veryzer beat Dennis Leonard's throw to the plate. A sacrifice fly by Jim Norris scored the final tally. [The Sporting News]
