After earlier hitting a three-run homer, Ken Singleton delivered a sacrifice fly in the 10th inning to give the Orioles a 5-4 victory over the Twins. It was the Twins' ninth straight loss. Losing pitcher Mike Marshall walked Mark Belanger to open the 10th and a single by Rick Dauer and walk to Eddie Murray loaded the sacks before Singleton drove the ball to deep center field.

The Orioles had moved ahead, 4-3, in the seventh inning on a solo homer by Pat Kelly, but the Twins tied it in their half on a solo blast by Roy Smalley. [The Sporting News]
