A bases-loaded squeeze bunt by Mick Kelleher in the bottom of the 10th inning scored Dave Kingman from third base and gave the Cubs a 9-8 victory over the Mets. With one out in the 10th, Kingman was hit by a pitch and advanced to third on a single by Greg Gross. Larry Biittner was intentionally walked to set the stage for Kelleher.
