Completing the three-game series sweep, the Mariners downed the White Sox, 8-6, in 10 innings. Bob Robertson and Bill Stein singled with one out in the 10th and Bob Stinson doubled to score Larry Milbourne, pinch-running for Robertson. Stein then tallied on an infield hit by Julio Cruz.

After blowing an early 3-0 lead, the Mariners battled back twice to tie the score and sent the game into extra innings in the ninth when Craig Reynolds singled and scored on a double by Dan Meyer. [The Sporting News]
