Marshall relieved starter Gary Serum and gave up a walk to Dave Machemer and a two-run single to Joe Rudi.

In the 12th frame, Lyman Bostock singled off Marshall with one out. After Rudi went down on strikes, Dan Baylor, Ken Landreaux and Ron Jackson pounded successive singles to give the Angels two runs and their winning margin. [The Sporting News]
