Jim Rice drew a walk and Carl Yastrzemski doubled to drive in Remy. Rice scored on a wild pitch by starter Jim Beattie. A double by Carlton Fisk plated Yastrzemski. Fisk moved to third on a wild pitch by reliever Dick Tidrow and scored on a sacrifice fly by Fred Lynn.
