. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Rallying from a four-run deficit in the late innings, the Rangers edged the A's, 5-4. The Rangers trailed, 4-0, going into the bottom of the seventh but tied the game with runs on singles by Pat Putnam and Jim Sundberg, a fielder's choice grounder by Bobby Thompson and a single by John Lowenstein.

Mike Jorgensen led off the ninth with a base on balls and moved to second on a sacrifice by Jim Mason. Bump Wills received an intentional walk and Richie Zisk then delivered the game-winning single. [The Sporting News]
