Getting three runs on homers in each of the last two innings, the Angels came from behind to defeat the A's, 10-7. The A's led, 7-4, going into the eighth but the Angels tied the contest on a three-run homer by Ron Jackson. A single by Lyman Bostock and error by shortstop Mario Guerrero preceded the circuit clout.

A three-run homer by Don Baylor in the ninth provided the Angels their winning margin. Elias Sosa served up Baylor's round-tripper and could have escaped unscathed but Guerrero mishandled a potential double-play ball. [The Sporting News]
