Homers by Ellis Valentine, Andre Dawson and Warren Cromartie sparked the Expos to a 7-4 decision over the Cubs. Valentine snapped the scoreless tie with a leadoff home run in the fourth inning. Cromartie followed with a single and scored on a homer by Dawson.
