Although allowing only four hits, Steve Rogers came out a loser when Rennie Stennett singled in the seventh inning and Manny Sanguillen homered to give the Pirates a 2-1 victory over the Expos. Sanguillen's blow wiped out the lead the Expos had taken on a circuit clout by Larry Parrish in the top half of the seventh.
