. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Designated hitter Willie Horton stroked a two-run homer in the seventh inning to trigger the Indians to a 4-1 victory over the Mariners. Horton's round-tripper followed a single by Johnny Grubb and wiped out a 1-0 Mariner lead.

The Tribe added two more runs in the eighth on a double by Paul Dade, triple by Rick Manning and sacrifice fly by Buddy Bell. The Mariners' tally came in the fourth on walks to Leon Roberts and Bill Stein, an error by Larvell Blanks and a double play. [The Sporting News]
