Limiting the Red Sox to their fewest amount of runs in Fenway Park this season, Dennis Martinez pitched the Orioles to a 3-1 victory on a four-hitter. The first Orioles' run came home on Mark Belanger's sacrifice fly in the sixth, but the Red Sox tied the game in the bottom of the frame on a walk to Carl Yastrzemski and singles by Butch Hobson and Bernie Carbo.
