The Mets completed a three-game sweep of the Cardinals, 2-0, as Pat Zachry hurled a two-hitter. The Mets, also held to two hits by Mark Littell and Pete Vuckovich, got a run in the first on Lenny Randle's single, a stolen base, sacrifice bunt and Bruce Boisclair's sacrifice fly.

Zachry and Randle walked in the third and after a wild pitch moved Zachry to third, Boisclair singled him home. The Cards' hits were second-inning singles by Keith Hernandez and Jerry Morales. [The Sporting News]
