Mark Lemongello batted in what proved to be his own winning run while pitching the Astros to a 2-1 victory over the Braves. Dick Ruthven, who opposed Lemongello, committed an error that led to the Astros' initial run in the fourth inning.

Denny Walling walked in the fifth, took third on a single by Luis Pujols and scored on a grounder by Lemongello. That run proved decisive when Pat Rockett hit his first major league homer for the Braves in the sixth. [The Sporting News]
