Rudy May pitched the Orioles to a 5-0 victory in the second game of a doubleheader after the Tigers won opener, 8-7, on Rusty Staub's home run in the 11th inning. A three-run double by Al Bumbry in the second inning was the key blow in the nightcap as May posted his 15th victory and fourth shutout. [The Sporting News]
